How to Upgrade with WordPress Latest Version?

1. Backup your database before start upgrade.
2. Backup your source code (Don’t forget your .htaccess file. ) before start upgrade.
3. Deactivate all your plugin
4. Download and extract the WordPress package from http://wordpress.org/download/.
5. Delete the old wordpress files but do not delete

   -   Wp-config.php

   -   Wp-content Folder

   -   Wp-images

   -   Wp-includes/languages-  .htaccess file

   -   robots.txt

6. Upload the new files
7. Make sure in current Site or Blog, Programmer have not made any core changes.
8. Upadate permalinks and .htaccess
9. Install update plugin and themes
10. Check Requirements – make sure that your web host has the required versions of PHP and MySQL.
11. Reactivate Plugins – to manage plugin
12. Add security key definitions to the wp-config.php file
13. Final Steps – Your update is now complete, so you can go in and enable your Plugins again. If you have issues with logging in, try clearing cookies in your browser.

If you have ever faced an issue where you are trying to download any office 2007 files ( .docx, .pptx, . xlsx ) from internet explorer browser and it open as zip file then you are at a right place.

We had a same issue with on of our project recently. Actually, that was the problem with MIME type of server. I am not sure about windows IIS server but if you have server with Linux machine and Apache then this can be a trick. Here is the solution for this problem.

From Web hosting Panel or Control Panel

1. Login to your Control Panel.
2. Find an option to add/modify server MIME Type.
3. Add this as an mime entry from your control panel.
   • Mime Type : application/vnd.openxmlformats
   • Extensions : docx pptx xlsx

From Command Line

1. If you want to do this with command line open this file /etc/mime.types
2. Add this line at the end of the file :
   application/vnd.openxmlformats       docx pptx xlsx
3. Restart your Apache server and check the problem.

Last Saturday ( 10th July ) we have visited Prathama Blood Center to donate blood. It was a great feeling for all of us. My whole team at MULTIDOTS was excited and happy to take part in this noble work. We started at 3:00 PM. A van from Prathama came to receive us. We reached there by 3:30 PM. Blood center was quite big. There was some procedure to fill the form before blood donation. I had some fever since two days and I had taken some medicines the same day morning so unfortunately, I was asked  not to donate blood

Aslam, Ashok, Kaushik & Hitesh donated their blood. I am very grateful to them and wish a very healthy life form them and their family. We have also visited the blood center. Project Coordinator from Prathma Blood Center has provided a very useful information of the blood. They have explained the process they perform on blood before donating it to the patients. It was great satisfaction over all. We had a lots of fun when we back to office and it was strange to look that everyone was speaking about blood, blood & blood.  Have a look at this album.

I was hunting on the web for a nice GIF image that I can put while ajax request to server is on process. I found many good GIF images but then I thought it should be something matching with the theme of our project. Then, I thought I should create something from scratch. But, I was not aware of any of the quick tool that can create GIF animation image quickly and easily.  Suddenly, Narendra ( Our Web Engineer ) suggested me for a nice online tool which provides lots of templates for GIF loader animation image . It provides enough options to format the loader images to your choice of colors. Finally, I was able to create a GIF animation image in 2 minutes of time and something which I needed.
